chapter one: s.o.s. the lost chosen!
Hello again, players! I hope you've been enjoying your time so far in Terminal-- it's certainly been fun to watch you all interact! We've got a lot planned for you guys, so let's get this under way, yeah?
In exactly one week the first part of the twelve-month arc will be starting, S.O.S. The Lost Chosen! This first event is going to introduce a lot of new concepts and some basic principles of this part of the plot. Right now, in total, this plot consists of three arcs which will last a time-span of roughly two and a half years. I say roughly because a lot of this will be player driven! While there's a basic schematic we also need you guys to participate! From what I've seen so far, I doubt we'll have any problem there!
So let's get a basic time-line going for this even, yeah?
For the Adventurers/Divers group a decent timeline of what will happen for them is:
Things we will let you know now!:
The thing that Taichi has discovered is called a Dark Field. It's essentially a space between where the worlds are collapsing and is incredibly versatile. More like a digital field, this area shines different colours and emits random data streams. In length it is roughly twenty feet high and no more than a foot in width. If you enter there will be a sudden bright light and then total darkness.
No light will appear, even from the blasts of digimon, and the longer you stay there the more different you feel. You can walk and walk and find no end, but sometimes you will get pictures from other worlds that appears in your mind.
The Dark Field also does anything besides making you comfortable-- such as hearing noises that shouldn’t be there and finding yourself injured from seemingly nothing. Spending an hour in the Dark Field will feel like being attacked by a cat, the longer you stay the worse your injuries will become. (Yes, they are very real).
This Dark Field will be found very close to Primary Village, the place where all Digimon are born.
The Digimon met at the Dark Field will be corrupted Digimon. This means they are not themselves! They will appear fractured and will be unable to speak. The only thing they are capable of is fighting until they die (which in this event they likely will not for reasons you will learn later).
The Beemon will also have a role, but what that role is will not yet be revealed!
Groups
That being said, there will be several different groups for this event. There will also be an opt-out (or as as opt-out as we can get for an event like this). First the major one!
Adventurers -- 21 people total.
Divers -- 3
In putting in for this role you must understand that your character will be in a lot of danger. Yes, they're basically in a black-out area, but it's a dangerous place. It will tax on their emotions, energy, and physical ability. They will be injured and it will not be able to be prevented. Three days inside of it will cause quite a deal of pain and mental stress.
Your character will be allowed to post and a mod will respond accordingly, but for the most part this is a non-active role. If your character wants to leave then all they have to do is pull on a rope that another character will give them on the outside that tether them. This means that you don't have to inflict your character too much if they can't handle it, but someone must be in there long enough to get Taichi out.
Note: The dangers of this area will not be known until post event.
Defenders -- 12 people (4 groups of three).
These people will be the ones that will be fighting the active Digimon. They will want to work in their assigned groups. They will have a tough time of this. The Digimon will not be beaten, but may retreat back into the Dark Field. Also, their major goal is to keep the Divers attached to our side. They have a rope for each person inside the Dark Field and are capable of bringing them out if it is necessary.
This is an active role but player characters will not likely get hurt unless they get in the way.
Protectors-- 6 (OPT-OUT Role)
For those people who do not want to take part in either battle here is an opt-out! This opt-out will be helping Elecmon evacuate the baby Digimon from Primary Village. You may meet some angry passing Digimon, but otherwise this is a safe, non-fighting role.
Defenders -- everybody else
Offensive -- This is the front line. They're the people that are taking the Beemon on head on. They will also have help from the NPC Chosen Children. Like the Defenders in the Adventure Group, the Beemon won't be an easy win. They are alike in that the Beemon will seemingly stop at nothing to attack the town.
Medics -- 3-5 (OPT-OUT ROLE)
Another opt-out role is people who want to help tend to any hurt Digimon! They'll be in the Tokyo Convention Center and will be the furthest away fro the fighting.
Shelters 3-7 (OPT-OUT ROLE)
Similar to the medics, these people will be taking hold of the Convention Center and will be the protectors of those who do not want to fight. Their role will be handing out food or comfort, but otherwise it's pretty lax.
...Your character could also just go "I don't want to fight!" and not do anything at all. That's fine, too! We've tried giving you as many options as we can!
Mechanics
+We will allow two Dark Digivolutions in this event. These Dark Digivolutions will only be able to go to Champion level at this time. A Dark Digivolution is only able to happen when the Chosen is down and out. That is to say, when they are at their weakest point or their complete opposite of what they normally are. You will need to explain how/why your character would be able to go this route when posting here.
A Dark Digivolution is a Digivolution your Digimon is not "locked" into, but capable of going to. So let's say with Hermione I have her Champion as Leomon. If in this case I want to force it to Greymon, that's acceptable! Do remember, however, that after this event they will not be able to digivolve to that level again. So instead of Greymon, when Agumon first Digivolves properly he'll go to Leomon.
During a Dark Digivolution you will have no control over your Digimon and they will be crazed. This means they may attack even you.
+During the event, so long as it's for the event, all Digivolutions for Champion will be accepted without question (unless it's a digivolution your digimon is not capable of). You must still wait to be accepted, so if you want to go ahead and start posting to the DIGIVOLUTION PAGE feel free!
+All people chosen to be in groups and/or Dark Digivolution will be chosen randomly. This means you can feel free to post in another group so long as you note which is your first or second choice (you can only be in one group, so if you get your first choice you won't be rolled for the second).
All Randomization results will be posted on 17 April 2013 so you have time to plot!
+Mods will not be modding the Digimon unless absolutely necessary. We will be putting our focus on the Adventurers-- primarily the Divers, but we will also be posting to the Adventuring Defenders. If you want a Mod Digimon for the event in any other situation please leave it to if you want to play out your first Digivolution with someone or a Dark Digivolution.
And that's it! Give us a moment to post up threads to sign up for each group. There will also be a place to ask questions. Other then that, use this post to plot all you want!

19 April 2013 -- A private feed between Koushirou and Taichi will be posted for your viewing pleasure! This will entail Taichi finding an important discovery and them discussing it. Koushirou will want more information but be hesitant to allow Taichi to go in. Taichi, being Taichi, goes to check it out anyway. Connection times out and Koushirou is no longer able to track Taichi.
21 April 2013 -- Koushriou takes over all of the D-Terminals, televisions, and any screen on a network to ask for help. He will also explain that the Beemon are coming this way. At this time it is unknown if the two instances relate in any form.
22-23 April 2013 -- As we don't want you to have to battle for six days straight these two days will be for preparation. There will be two groups-- Defenders and Adventurers (within the Adventurers there will be a subgroup called Divers, we'll get to that in a moment.).
24-26 April 2013 -- Both sides will begin their duties. This will be pretty nonstop, so people may want to work out taking turns! The Beemon will be defeated.
For the Adventurers/Divers group a decent timeline of what will happen for them is:
24 April 2013 -- They will arrive on File Island and approach the anomaly. Three people will enter it while the rest or left behind to "tether them"/guard them. The Divers will pretty much not have much to do, but that will be explained momentarily.
25 April 2013 -- Digimon appear from within the area. They are not normal Digimon.
26 April 2013 -- By this time the Divers will have found Taichi. This was their first and only mission, so rather they stay and fight the Digimon will be entirely up to them.
