MONTHLY WRAP-UP.

Hey, everyone, end of the month and we're trying our hand at a timely monthly wrap-up.

Event Wrap Up
As Blast From the Past winds down, feel free to continue any threads in the infiltration section. We've got a few plot-related threads that are still going, and of course any that you all are taking part in. Here, however, is the stuff to know for the aftermath.

Scope Virus - An IC info post has gone out, but here's a recap. A Digimon known as Lotusmon has dropped the term Scope Virus, implying the Digimon in Milleniummon's Castle were infected with it. Regarding those Digimon, they've been seen both disappearing and then reappearing, completely devoid of emotion. More information on the Virus will come in the coming months.

The Castle - Currently, the Castle is in shambles, but it's not gone. In fact, no infected Digimon are in it anymore nor are any taking up residence. It does, however, have a Dark Zone resting on top of it. The Dark Zone formed when the infected Kimeramon was destroyed. People can research it if they desire, which brings me to.

NPC Chosen - Though not entirely related to Blast From the Past, it goes here. Taiki will be receiving word from the other NPC Chosen that they are sending back data from across the Digital World and therefore will continue to be out of reach. However, this information compiled will be going towards understanding the Dark Fields and, hopefully, the Scope Virus. While events are going on this month, Taiki, and anyone interested with more tech savvy experience, can research the various Dark Fields.

Next Month
We're fast approaching August, and that means August 1st, the anniversary of the Digimon franchise and the day that the Adventure Chosen were first taken into the Digital World. As such, we have the Adventure Time! event, but first. The calendar for the month is HERE, and it has been up for about a week.

Missions/Quests/Jobs will be run differently from now on. Jobs will have higher employee caps and go up at the start of the month, and there will also be a catch-all job post in case anyone wants to do logging with them. Missions and Quests will be combined into one category and they will go up as the month goes on like a messaging board system.

Cresting - As always, once it reaches three months since your acceptance, you can apply for cresting. A lot of new people can get crests this month, so don't forget to apply! You can also always nominate others to give your input on what a character should receive.

Activity Check - Our Activity Check ends tonight at midnight. Remember to get your Activity in!

Applications open on August 3rd, and reserves are currently open.

Adventure Time!
Now, for the info on the coming plot.

Morning of August 1st, data streams will snatch as many Chosen from wherever they are as they can. They will be taken to a changed File Island, one reminiscent of the Adventure era. A thick fog will keep Trailmon from entering or exiting the island, and goo will covering the tracks. The digivices will direct Chosen to Infinity Mountain, which people should reach by the last day of the event. No one will be dropped close to the mountain. D-Terminals of Chosen on the island will let out signals, but they will not be able to receive or send video or audio, only text. As always, if you'd like to opt out, you can.

Chosen will also see Black Gears flying about. For those unfamiliar with the show, Black Gears are gears that will embed themselves in peaceful Digimon and cause them to go violent and rampage. The following NPCs, which will be mod-controlled by Ashley, Jade, DH, Chi, and Reili, will appear:
  • Kuwagamon - hostile, lives in the forest.
  • Shellmon - hostile, he lives at Coela Beach.
  • Monochromon - territorial, they live around the rocky/beach areas.
  • Seadramon - hostile, he lives in the lake around Trolley Island.
  • Meramon - passionate... He lives near the Yokomon Village.
  • Yokomon - friendly! They live in the Yokomon Village.
  • Andromon - friendly! but alas, black gear. He lives in the Powerplant.
  • Numemon - ...numemon. They're everywhere, especially the sewers.
  • Monzaemon - usually friendly, but alas, black gear. He lives in Toy Town.
  • Unimon - wise, friendly, gentle. but alas, black gear. He lives around the Geyser area.
  • Ogremon - a big jerk. He likes to fight Leomon.
  • Leomon - friendly! wise! Is he afflicted with a black gear? You'll have to see.
  • Mojyamon - friendly and real tiny, but alas, black gear. It makes him huge and aggressive. Usually friends with Frigimon. He lives in the ice area.
  • Frigimon - friendly! but alas, black gear. Usually a real friendly guy. He lives in the ice area.
  • Chuumon + Sukamon - friendly and best friend and always together and always looking for a date. they live around the forests near the old ruins.
  • Centarumon - helpful and wise! but alas, black gear. He lives in the old ruins
  • Bakemon - hostile, they masquerade as masked people. They live in the Bakemon Church.
  • Elecmon - friendly as can be! … + various baby Digimon
These types of Digimon are notably the only ones that will be seen on the island. The following locations, some of which are not detailed on the map, will also be in play.
  • Coela Beach - covered with phone booths that give out gibberish responses; Shellmon lives here.
  • The Forest of Irrelevant Road-signs - forest filled with nonsensical road-signs. It's concurrent with the forest area, though road-signs can be found where any trees are.
  • Trolley Island - Trolley car on a little island, with sparking power towers in the lake, that lead to nowhere; Seadramon lives here. He likes to sleep with his tail on the island, buried in the sand! ...Watch out.
  • Telephone Pole Desert - ...a desert full of telephone poles. Concurrent with the desert area on the map.
  • Yokomon Village - a village full of Yokomon. Notably, the Biyomon and Birdramon guardian are absent, and the Yokomon will behave as if they never were there.
  • Powerplant - Various devices, chambers with ancient digicode that run the whole factory’s power. Assembly lines. It puts things together then takes them apart. Andromon lives here. He’s malfunctioning. Relevant to the map, it’s near the rainforest area.
  • Underground Waterway - AKA a sewer, connected to the powerplant, absolutely invested with Numemon. It lets out a little ways away from Toy Town.
  • Toy Town - A town like an amusement park, where all abandoned Digimon toys go! Full of games, events...and Monzaemon, who will try to brainwash you.
  • Geyser Area - A sudden influx of snow, on the edge of the rainforest and the rocky area. Also full of geysers (...and random refrigerators full of food, mostly eggs) that are WAY too hot to touch. It’s where Mount Kea is on the map, and Mount Kea is gone. Unimon is around here.
  • Infinity Mountain - Devimon’s Castle is here. The endgame area for the event!
  • Ruined Mansion - Adjacent to the event endgame area of Infinity Mountain, a big mansion, with baths, food, and comfortable beds...but none of it’s REALLY there. It’s an illusion. It will eventually glitch out, the only thing real are the beds and the basic structure, it’s actually a ruin.
  • Freezing Area - A set of freezing icy islands to the north. Mojyamon and Frigimon live here.
  • Old Ruins - In the rain forest area. A labyrinth, with ancient digicode ruins like the powerplant. There are various rooms with holes in the ground. Centarumon lives here.
  • Bakemon Church - An old, rundown church where the Bakemon live, celebrating holidays and looking for people to eat. It's around the cliff area.
  • Primary Village - Elecmon watches over baby Digimon here. Notably, there is a train crossing near here with no train, even though trains can be heard and it will act like ones are going through.
The event endgame will happen at the end Day 3, and even if Chosen reach Infinity Mountain before that, it will not start up until then.

This post can be used for basic plotting. Do you want to end up in the same area as someone else? Want to interact with a specific NPC? Want to form traveling parties beforehand? Anything is fair game! Additionally, a game-wide HMD will be up shortly after this post.
