The Great Migration Plotting
As one of our major plots is coming to a wrap at the very end of the month, we figured it would be a much better idea to have this information up before the monthly wrap-up goes up rather than during. Therefore, here's all you'll need to know about The Great Migration.
The Chosen will be pushed to evacuate, to any of the other Terminals or to File Island's Primary Village. A message will go out following that informing the Chosen of Hospitown and the Folder Continent...with the only problem being, that's a seven day trip, any way you cut it.
Folder is, relatively to Terminal Island, southwest, while Server is northwest. From the River Terminal, the Chosen can take a Trailmon, and the tracks will split in northern and southern paths. You're looking for the southern path here. Along the way, the Trailmon will have to stop and refuel, and they will do so on several different islands. Here is where you can have some fun.
There are five major refueling stops between Terminal Island and the Folder Continent.
You are of course free to explore Terminal Island, File Island, or what is revealed of Server, perhaps try and find things on your own, find your own way to Hospitown. You're free to not go to Hospitown.
To reach the last island, you need to have been traveling for at least six days. Pace yourself, and be realistic about traveling time. If your character would get caught up looking at things, maybe missing a train, then they might take longer than seven days.
This is meant to be player-driven. If you get to places like Tree-Top Isle and want to explore the underneath, or request some wild Digimon attacks for other places, we will of course comply, if you put in a request. However, this is for your characters to think on the events of the last few weeks, or to get used to roughing it a little, as the Trailmon? They don't have food for you. On your stops, you're going to need to gather something at the Terminals you stop at, or fish, or gather fruit...or meat, from the weird meat-growing-trees. On all but the first island, there will be places to find food. Even Shadow Isle, if you want to try your luck. If you have an idea for another, smaller island on your way, you're free to do that too. This is all about exploration, after all.
The map for the Folder Continent and its descriptions will be coming at the start of January, before apps open. That will require some exploration as well, but you'll learn more of that as it comes.

- Sandbar Island - It is as it sounds. This is an island made entirely of sand, with a few palm trees, where few Digimon are, but some burrow underneath, some lay to sun themselves.
- Autumn Leaf Island - A place all but lifted from another Digital World, the Autumn Leaf Island is a constant bizarre of odd knickknacks and trading items, from those that have fallen through to this world to the ones that have always been here. You might find something valuable...or just a few old screws. The fair itself is located in a grassy crater, the only green life on the island, as the rest of it is covered in snow.
- Shadow Isle - An island with little light. Only your Trailmon can light your path, so don't stray from it, or the Terminal if you step off. If you wander too far away, the Trailmon could leave you, assuming you returned when it couldn't see. The island is full of Dark Area and darkness-type Digimon. Some might be friendly. Others? Probably not.
- San Francisco - Yes. The island of San Francisco. But something's weird. There are no people. The whole island is just lifted up and placed in this Digital-Real World mashup. Some electronics might work. Most do not. Digimon have started crowding around, scavenging most likely. You'll find water-types and flying Digimon mostly. The island is vast, and with no one around, it might be a little eerie...or the perfect place to relax.
- Tree-Top Isle - This is an island where once you reach it, the Trailmon will go up, up, up to a Terminal in the trees. Strangely enough, the tracks are not supported. They just float there, through a village made of connected tree-houses and wooden walkways. Don't fall, it's a mighty long drop, and any Digimon there - mostly Nature Spirits and Deep Jungle types - admit they haven't been down in ages. Who knows what lurks below the trees...? Does anyone want to find out?

A Trailmon will run every 45 minutes, starting from 7:00 AM and ending at 10:00 PM. Allowing of course for refueling and the like, delays from station to station.
