EVENT PLOTTING - RUMOR HAS IT: RACE FOR THE RELICS!

[ PREMISE ]

Hope you Chosen been keeping your ears to the ground, because some juicy gossip is making its way through the town! Rumors have been circulating of relics powerful enough to resurrect the dead, to repair or permanently merge the digital world, return characters to their home worlds and more! Unfortunately, all but one of these rumors is false!

Team up with each other in a desperate race against time to retrieve these powerful artifacts before other malevolent forces (or even other players) shadow them away. Fail, and you may just find yourself neck deep in danger. Succeed, and you’ll walk away with something deeply important to your character and this world.

SLEEPWALKERS
RUMORS SPREAD [Feb 2, and on] : Sorry, Chosen. You won't be getting much sleep this month. Your digimon have started sleepwalking! They will have mysterious dreams. They may also mention peculiar dreams about keys, destiny, spirit worlds, doors, portals and travel.
EVENT [Feb 23]: On the days or nights during the event, your digimon partner will take a nap. They'll start to sleepwalk and won't wake. Follow them, and they will lead you to mysterious doors. These doors will take you to random locations in HospiTown. Inside other peoples’ dorms, lost in the forest, to various parts of the map. Once inside the door, your digimon will wake. Behind each door will be a chance to change someone’s fate: Whether it be saving them from an accident, saving them from an angry digimon, a greedy traveler holding a bag of bits and insulting the Chosen… Or you just might find yourself in someone else’s apartment as they’re having breakfast. Sit down and join them. After all, a delicious helping of eggs and bacon has its own inevitable fate too. Use this as an opportunity to get CR with those you haven’t met before and to interact with those who are not in HospiTown.

DOPPELGANGER!
RUMORS SPREAD [Feb 2, and on]: People are giving you weird stares, clapping you on the back for things you've never done and bursting into laughter at the very sight of you. Whenever you ask, people are blaming you or congratulating you for things you never remember doing! What's going on...

EVENT [Feb 24]: At last the culprit reveals itself!... It's you! Well.. not quite. Just your memories. Glitches in the shifting states of the world have caused anomalies: Strange programs stealing the appearance of the players or someone important from their memories. Unfortunately, they’re using this image to play pranks all over HospiTown. Defeating them by giving them the beat down, stealing away their gold wristband (the relic) or other creative measures. Don't call them fakes, though, or they'll get mighty angry and redouble their efforts to soil your reputation. Given the chance, they’ll skip town and spread their chaos to other cities. Don’t let them! … Unless you’d much rather join their mischief. In which case, HospiTown is in for some tricky times.

TRAILMON BANDITS
RUMORS SPREAD [Feb 2, and on]: A rosemon has threatened the safety of travel, and reviles the spread of Chosen in her world. She wonders if anyone out there can stop her. She's claims she has an artifact that can turn the very tide of influence between warring digimon factions.
EVENT [Feb 26]: The citizens of the digital world need your help! A distress call from some Trailmon have been sent out by a citizen aboard Trailmon… that have been hijacked by rogue digimon enlisted by Rosemon! Gear up, ready your wings, stretch those runner’s legs and gather your wits. We need digimon (and any friends they can bring) able to travel light and fast. Catch the train, board it, make your way through the train without hurting citizens in order to regain control of train. How you do that is up to you, whether you sneak on and pose as an employee, a rider on the Trailmon, or pose as one of the bandits themselves! Not the subtle type? Time for some fireballs, energy blasts and some hand to hand combat. Be careful, though, since they’ve got a hold of an orb that can force you to relive a memory on the spot to stall you! And in small quarters, these ruthless digimon are absolutely known for snatching away human partners of those who interfere. Stay smart, stay safe… and steal yourself that orb!

CON JOB!
RUMORS SPREAD [Feb 2, and on]: A mysterious distress call from a city resident has anonymously been sent out to the Chosen to foil an oppressive digimon. Unfortunately, Myotismon is hoarding a powerful relic, and using its rumor to suppress any unrest near his castle where he holds power. Residents claim that he's discovered the secret to travel back in time? Hmmm. An artifact this powerful could turn the tide of things in the digital world...
EVENT [Feb 27] : Unfortunately, anyone who has challenged Myotismon so far as been on the other end of his scroll-imbued power: the ability to temporarily remove a number of memories (period of 5 minutes- enough for his Devimon, NeoDevimon and SkullSatanamon bodyguards to toss the confused perpetrator out!) This calls for a different approach. The perfect opportunity to steal the scroll will come in with the formal ball he is hosting. Confident in his own security and mansion, he’s going to display it for all to see. Suit up, pile on the glitz and glam, sneak into the party and snatch that scroll right out from under his nose. DON’T GET CAUGHT! This job will take Chosen of all kinds, so coordinate with your Chosen before and especially during the operation! Infiltrate the party and do recon upstairs in his mansion. Charm your way to Myotismon’s graces by schmoozing with the guests. Crack some knuckles if his bodyguards start to act up. Make some noise (or even explosions) for a distraction loud enough for your speedy teammates to rush in and make the grab! Be careful, though. More than a few of you have received the call, and that means that someone else might just make the grab right off of you.

SO HOW DO I WIN THIS THING?
Everyone will receive a special program for their digivice for participating in the plot, but only the players chasing the right rumor will receive the true relic: a piece of their own canon. Fake relics that players encounter in their scenarios will shatter and turn back into data at the end date.

The winning scenario has been chosen at random by the mods, though it will not be revealed until the event's end date (not even I will know). Everyone on the trail of the correct relic (regardless of whether threads have finished at the end of the event) will win a piece of their canon (as approved by the mods). Pick and plot with your teammates around the scenario you like best and your character may just be in the right place at the right time.

SO HOW DO I GET AROUND IN TIME FOR THE EVENTS?
Feel free to use the SLEEPWALKER event doors to ICly transport your characters around File Island. As each event takes place on a different day, you can also use them to get back in time to participate with others in more than one event. However, you can only officially sign up for one event to be considered a winner of the ultimate prize. If you want your character back to their original locations, better get back through the door you came, because the doors will disappear at midnight on the 27th.

HOW DO THE PRIZES WORK? 
There are 2 types of prizes- one SMALL prize and one bigger SPECIAL prize. You can participate in every event for fun. HOWEVER. If you want to win the big prize, you'll sign up with a PRIMARY EVENT CHOICE. It's like entering yourself in a lottery to win the SPECIAL prize. You have 1 in 4 chances to win it.

As for what it is? The winners will find out what 'A piece of their canon' means at event end, as they will work it out with the mods for approval.

WILL CHOOSING ONE EVENT OVER THE OTHER HURT MY CHANCES OF WINNING?
No. You have an equal chance of winning no matter what you play, since the winning rumor will be random. Not even I know which event will be the winner. Choose your events for fun. It won't hurt your chances no matter what you choose.



You have the freedom of controlling your NPCs but mods will be available by request. So plot with each other, establish teams or go solo, scheme sabotage, plan threads, and sign up for your main event.
