Hello fellow newbies, welcome to the game!

I'm Reine, just as new as all of you and just as excited to play in this game with everyone! I'll be playing Beast Boy aka Garfield Logan from Young Justice (tv). He's a cheerful 13 year old kid who loves nature (and animals in particular) and horrible jokes. He's very affectionate and friendly too, quick to tease and kind of lacks what you call a personal space.

He's also probably going to ogle all your digimon and study them like his life depends on it oops.

I'm taking him from Episode 19 of Season 2, which miiight mean spoilers so if you are watching this series/would rather not be spoiled anyway, let me know! He's a yapper, but I can always pick topics that would avoid canon.

I try not to take tumblr seriously they like to blow things out of proportion just by a hair flip so I just wait for the next issue always /DEADCAT Me too gosh for a speedster it takes him forever to appear in YA ALL THE TIME.

LMAO I didn't even think they would break up from that when I read it, but then I also think that Teddy's the type to forgive easily, just got into the heat of the moment oops.

It wouldn't have been in character for them to break up, really, but I'm always nervous about things like that. Comics have a habit of randomly killing my ships. :c But seriously, Teddy is such a sweetheart, he's my favorite.

lmao I admit I just wasn't fond of the sudden art shift and ended up agreeing at first with that, then backtracked, reread the series and decided the hair is the same, it's just a really really different art style/mood that I am still trying to get used to. He better show up with venti sized drinks for everyone. Also bring his new friend along.

That makes sense--- aaand probably why I am afraid of touching any comics now of my favorite characters sob. TIME TO HIT UP NEW SERIES.

Yeah, I can't say I was a huge fan of the hair at first, but people are really obsessed with proving that they've become MORE GAY OH NO and pairing the hair with them kissing more and some joke Teddy made and it's just. Guys. Guys no.

X-Men comic fandom is pain, everyone breaks up every three minutes.

The funny thing about that is Billy and Teddy have shown random bouts of the same attitude in previous issues so I wasn't quite sure where the hate was from. Wait, no, I cry foul at Teddy's eggplant color scheme. FOUL I SAY.

Does this mean I should wait for another hundred issues before I try X-Men then? ngl my only exposure to Marvel are old cartoons and YA, and a bit of Runaways and currently getting into Ultimate Spiderman because MILES IS THE CUTEST THING EVER.

tbf I half expected it because there was a slow rising tension coming from Billy's camp of the fandom since CC, I just didn't think it would start with a very fabulous hairflip (which, if given the right fanartist, actually looks really good to me.) See, this reminds me of how Teddy was originally supposed to be a girl based on Lindsay Lohan WAIT SCRATCH EVERYTHING I REREAD THE EXCERPT AND AM NOT SURE HOW I MISUNDERSTOOD THAT she's just Hulkling who is really a girl derp.

Go introduce me to stuff! I'm a Batfam girl so all the things I know are Batfam and occasionally fab five feelings and EVERYTHING THAT HURTS IN THE NEW 52. Yes Miles is just too cute for this world. Someone needs to play him.

People will fight about anything in comic fandom, it's actually pretty damn entertaining most of the time. (Kaciart draws them so well it makes me want to cry.) oh man I remember reading about that they ended up going with the gender confusion thing with Xavin instead but I'M GLAD TEDDY ENDED UP AS TEDDY idk he just works so well exactly how he is

Oh god what the reboot did to the bat family is goddamn tragic, Damian was my Robin when I first got into comics and I'm still so mad, and we won't even talk about what they did to poor Jaime. FOR THE RECORD, Jaime's incarnation of Blue Beetle is actually my favorite superhero! I kinda squealed like a pig when he showed up in YJ, not gonna lie. Petition for spider-baby in the dw roleplay circles.

SO ARE YOU INTERESTED IN X-BOOKS AT ALL? Because I read like. All of them. And you really do need help if you're attempting to backread for mutants AT ALL, they're all over the place. I don't read any current Avengers stuff, but I'm pretty useful for backreading on them as well! And young heroes. Just. In general, Marvel OR DC.

I am still new to the comics fandom (like Dec 2012 new) but I have seen this yes. Sometimes I just watch for entertainment. (oh god I know, right? Also morethnus, if you've seen their art.) SAME HERE I mean I would probably not know what to do with a Teddy like Xavin because I like Xavin as Xavin and Teddy as Teddy

I read the Blue Beetle comics of the reboot and I went all 'wtf did I just read' granted I've never read Blue Beetle before (my only exposure is TT comics, Batman Brave and the Bold and YJ ahahahahaaaaa) but I didn't mind it as much, just that it felt too dark and gritty for the personality they set so kind of awkward. BUT GODS WHAT THEY DID TO DAMIAN which I... wasn't expecting because why kill a kid. I'm just crying over what happened to the whole family, but for me Dick is my favorite ever so destroying almost everything I loved about him has been painful.

YES I AM. lmao I don't think I can ever play from X-books but I do wanna follow some I just dunno where to start.

I've only got a little under two years under my belt, but I went completely nuts over the summer and was reading 30ish comics a day. Whoops. (Oh, I like that style! Is morethnus their tumblr?) Plus, it'd change the teddybilly dynamic and I just. it's so good the way it is

Oh god, try the old series, it's so good, the family relationships and support from friends and man, I just completely 100% recommend it. The characters are so real. And it's funny too. BUT YEAH SERIOUSLY DAMIAN, BABY. I'm seriously so sad about how they took Damian from Dick, and took all of his friends away and just. Ruined his life. And then there's what they're doing to Tim and why does Jason have Dick's friends and just. Ugh.

OH YEP THIS IS ME. I could never RP any of the X-Men, they just have TOO MUCH HISTORY. I'm constantly in the process of debating Jaime and Teddy, but nobody else, really.

But anyways! Do you want to start with the 90s stuff?

Ahhhh I miss the days I had time to do just that. Now it feels like a challenge just reading 5 issues in a day. (And yes, yes it is.) Yep, agreed. This one works well already, so no more changes please.

I will have to do this when I can find issues. I've been trying to hound old Batgirl issues because Steeeeeeeph. This is why I stick to the old issues wooo.
