Welcome to the game, everyone!
We're excited to see everyone here and have a lot of things planned for you to do. Currently there's twelve months of plot in the works to keep everyone busy! We hope everyone finds something to do here and enjoys their stay. The game's ready and waiting, but before that there's some things we have to get out of the way!
Game starts tomorrow on April 4. This means no posts should go up until that time, but you're free to post in the OOC and Spam communities to your hearts content! For the next few days characters will be allowed to roam around the city and check things out, but starting the eleventh our events start! The first one will be a mini-event lasting from April 11-13 and will be a Damemon Parade. This is a celebration and the perfect excuse to mingle! The 21-26 will be our first plot event, S.O.S. The Lost Chosen! Taichi's gone missing and things aren't as calm as one would hope your first month in the Digital World!
We're going to do things a bit weird here, so an idea of how events are run will be behind a cut!
There are several type of "events": quests, mini-events, plot events, and viruses.
Quests are things that will go up once a month and are listed with the regular missions and jobs. Missions are small work detail to earn money and jobs hourly waged jobs that aren't continuous beyond that month. Quests are a little different in that it normally means fighting Digimon or going out of your safety zone to do something. How long will they last? Well, that depends on how the character deals with it! All quests are opt-in and will be limited.
Mini-Events are generally random Digimon attacks on the city or activities with a large player involvement, like the Damemon Parade. They're something for the characters to do without hurting the overall plot. These will generally last a few days and are opt-in.
Viruses are your general silly events! They can involve changing color, swapping gender, or only being able to sing! These will happen more frequently later on, but are again opt-in.
Plot events are exactly that. Each month we have a plot event planned for the characters to work through. They will change the entire course of the game, and will have opt-outs in round about ways. Some plot events will have sections with limited numbers, but we're working so everyone can have something to do! These will be the longest events and will generally last a week.
Not every type of event will happen at once, so don't worry!
Other than that, for now there's not much we an say! Our maps will be viewable before game starts. We will also post something up for the game start so there can be a mingle thread. Posts will also go up to announce the Damemon parade and a catchall log. There should also be a private discussion between Taichi and Koushirou for your viewing pleasure if things go as planned! We will also put up an info thread on the twelfth for plotting for the S.O.S. event and more of a description on it!
