Overarching Event Information.
For the last month or so, we've been sending out invitations in waves to a new community, terminalplots, where information regarding the overarching plot for October and November has been released and the players can plot. Now, as we've sent out the invitations for the last group that will be affected, we're releasing all the info live to the game and the public. This means if you haven't received an invitation before now, your character will not be affected by the following information...besides reacting to the other characters. For simplicity's sake, the cut-off is those accepted last month. So newbies, you're in the clear!
So what's going on? Well, let us tell you.
As you all know, the SCOPE Virus has been causing quite the stir in the Digital World, turning infected Digimon into mindless beasts wrecking havoc and leaving destruction in their wake. Since this is the Digital World, everything is considered data in one way, shape, or form, and thus subject to infection.
This includes you, the Chosen~
What does this mean? Well, over the course of October and into November, each of you will show shifts in your personality. It won't be anything drastic in the beginning: pervasive thoughts that you wouldn't normally think, or saying things that you would usually keep to yourselves would be the effects most noticeable. Over time, though, your character's shift will get worse and worse until they are VERY MUCH not themselves.
Oh, but there's more to this little ah, "event" than just a change in personality for your characters. "What!? There's more?!" Why, of course there is! Remember your crests that you have worked so hard to get? BWAHAHAHAHAHA they won't be able to help you this time around, kiddies! Once the Virus starts having an effect on your character, your crest will NO LONGER WORK LIKE THEY SHOULD. This means that any Digivolving taking place during this time will only be as high as Champion. As well, Cresting assignments will be put on hold. Pretty much everyone will eventually be affected by the Virus, so they will not be themselves. How can the Digital World properly Crest those who do not act how they were meant to? BUT DON'T WORRY! Cresting WILL resume at a later date, so no fretting~. We're aware that none of you have your crests yet, but you can still apply at this time! That way when cresting resumes, we can get to you ASAP. Don't worry, if you choose to have your character affected, we'll use events from before you the virus took hold to decide your crest, of course.
So those crests not working? That means Dark Digivolutions can happen, outside the proper fight-based events! We've rolled for those who've applied for Dark Digivolutions and sent out their acceptances, except for our latest group. We had a lower turn-out for some groups, so if you missed your deadline and are still thinking about it, talk to us.
The virus has been affecting Chosen -- some very noticeably! -- in waves.
Group 1, those in the game since April, have had the option of being hit since September 29th.
Group 2, those accepted in May, had their start-date on October 6th.
Group 3, those accepted in June, have the virus hitting today, October 13th.
Group 4, those accepted in August, will be affected starting October 20th.
And Group 5, those accepted in September, have their date set for October 27th.
The event will be going through November 28th, with Dark Digivolutions halting on November 17th, and it will be concluded with a big log. More information on that as we get closer.
Here you can ask questions, do more plotting for those from previous plot posts, or just discuss! Remember, even if your character isn't affected -- as we've had those interested in opt-out -- you can use this space to plan with those who are.

During the plotting phase, Masaru got approved for Dark Digivolution. And as luck should have it, Masaru's partner is capable of going all the way to the Mega level.
In a short time, Masaru will completely go fucking nuts, and Agumon will dark evolve into Darkdramon. Naturally, this will have VERY BAD results, but if anyone is going to take him down, it needs to be a group of people whose partners can evolve to the Ultimate/Perfect level.
I also need someone willing to be the one who sets him off in the first place. And if anyone just wants to get their partner be steamrolled by Darkdramon, that's fine too.

I have initial plans, but Cam's been approved for a Dark Digivolution, which I'm gonna be doing on the 18th. It'll happen at one of the training centers! I'm at the moment thinking the Courage training center, might as well put it to use. Lucette is going to go to Ultimate, which I had originally thought LadyDevimon for, but I'm settling on ShadowWereGarurumon.
Want your person there? Want to be caught in the crossfire? Etc.? That's what this is for. So far, Reili and I have hammered out that Maya will be present, but beyond that there's nothing else set.
Additionally, in the middle of the week I'll have an open log in the public training area which will serve as a bridge to this. :)

Alex got approved for virus-prompted Dark Digivolution, which is in fact going to make Tailmon go into Angewomon.
The effects of the virus are going to be pretty subtle! She'll remain mostly unchanged, what the virus is going to do is affect her self-confidence/arrogance and send her into a constant spiral of doubt, confusion, and getting stuck in a rut and not being willing to do things herself.
So, I need someone willing to, basically, at some point during this event terrorize her enough to trigger an evolution for her aforementioned guardian angel.

So... I think instead of being quiet and withdrawn and unsure and all that good stuff... we're going in a complete opposite direction! Birdbrain will get to be brash and loud and overconfident for once. And probably lashing out at people, instead of trying to get their help and listening to them, physically or verbally.
Not the nice, awkward, kind of socially stupid kid he was before.

BUT if there is some danger (dark evo'd mons or god forbid if the city gets attacked) Neku very well might toss someone under the bus to save his own scrawny ass. So if that's something anyone is interested in....

but since his partner only reaches Champion he is not very useful for most of these dark evo fights. Well shit. But if anyone wants him around he is here. Doing.... stuff.

So for this event, Minato will be well...I guess the way you can put it is he'll just plain snap. Savior of this world, savior of the previous one. He had to give up everything and man, only a handful of people from where he came from even knew they were in any danger at all. And then here's him over here (formerly) dead and being alive again has left him with a sense of being left behind, like he's a ghost frozen in time. IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO LET THAT STRESS OUT.
Shark, I initially planned to be a huge asshole, but I've actually changed my mind on that. Because being Ryoga Kamishiro is suffering, he's going to be just stressed the hell out and have a bit of a nervous breakdown. Help you guys he actually made friends here and everyone's going crazy and what will happen to them AHHH HE'S GOING CRAZY TOO.

This... is really bad. Megidramon is a Mega level Digimon whose very existence creates instabilities due to the Digital Hazard. In this form, he is going to be insanely violent, fierce, and unrelenting.
So, basically, he's gonna need some Chosen to knock him down a peg. Anyone want in?

Naturally, this means he's going to get into a fight with just about everyone he sees, either that or he'll just brush people and Digimon aside like they're nothing. At some point he's gonna blow up something really important

Jin's change is be more subtle, but will also ideally have more lasting consequences. For his entire stay here, he's been keeping his ruthlessness and extremist tendencies under wraps because he'd rather not have all the bleeding hearts getting on his case. He no longer cares about that. On top of that, he's developed a rather nasty case of Immigrant Fleet supremacy obsession. Some people might have already noticed him being more openly arrogant and derisive...and that's only going to get worse as the event goes on.
