monthly wrap ups!
So here we are at the end of month one! What an exciting month it's been! We hope you've had a fun time so far and are ready for the next month. There's just a few things to wrap up before we continue on.
This post will cover: Event Wrap Up, Next Month's Event, some information, and a poll!
Event Wrap Up
Feel free to continue responding to your threads as you are! The Divers thread will be ending sometime in the next day or so, but we wanted to give you guys a bit of time to play things out! There are some things you need to know that's in the aftermath of the event.
Next Month
Next month will be a "lighter" month in terms of plot events. The new calendar for may can be found HERE. There is one plot event and it's a fairly simple one, but there is more stuff to work with towards the end! More on that will be announced closer to time.
Missions/Quests/Jobs will all be posted on the 1st of May. If you want to suggest some things go right ahead! The plan is to have quite a few to allow everyone to get some kind of work.
General
We currently have a handful of people working on a trial basis for lists, helpers, and NPCs! They're doing a fabulous job so far, so give them a round of applause! :)
Remember it's never too early to NOMINATE PEOPLE FOR CRESTS! The more crest nominations there are the more opinions there are! Just remember that you cannot nominate your own character or bribe people to nominate yours a certain way.
RESERVES ARE OPEN.
APPLICATIONS OPEN MAY 3.

Since this is the fourth month, we really want to hear from you guys! To better shape this into a game that the members enjoy and feel comfortable with we're opening up the floor. Please suggest whatever you'd like to see come into effect/give ideas/etc so we can make the game the best it can be!

Event Wrap Up

Dark Zone-- This is the area's official name after the event! It has not disappeared and nor were the Devimon defeated. The Devimon did retreat into the Zone, but only after the Defenders (hopefully, you're not that crazy, right?) retreated. The Dark Zone is a ripple, but that's all the data received on it so far.
The City-- This is still mostly in tact! Everything east of the Welcome Center may have broken glass and some broken walls, but nothing is too out of place there. To the west is a different story. There's quite a few buildings totally destroyed and most have several walls torn down or windows broken. This means cleaning up missions next month!
Taichi-- The Divers would have brought him back safely home! He is injured/quite distressed, but he may keep what happened to himself (this is up to Kam).

But echoing the comment below too that I chose that one cuz I think a good balance would appeal to a larger playerbase, especially since people have different types of things they like to play and such.

I figured there was no way amusing would overtake serious, since if memory serves you guys have got the plot figured out already, so I answered 'amusing' because I don't think there's going to be any shortage of serious one way or another, I just don't want serious to get overwhelming to the point of no silly. It's still a Digimon game, I think it needs a pretty damn good amount of amusing silly stuff to still keep the feeling of Digimon- This is the series that was tossing in silly supermarket and forgetful grandmother gags in the plotline of a digimon just launched fucking nuclear missiles at our protagonists in the real world.
Basically, important things need to be serious! A balance is good! But too much serious in between important things, I think, ruins the feeling of Digimon.

I'm all for a good balance, but if the story-related events such as this one are really going to be on the heavy side, I think more amusing or just downright light-hearted mini-events would be better to balance those out. If it's entirely serious for a whole month, it might feel stressful to some.

I'm Re and I'm on trial as a list helper and hope to keep up the prompt updating that we have set as the bar since reserves open. I try to be as approachable as possible so if I don't close an html tag or have a derp moment and miss someone don't hesitate to tell me. Also the other list helper is really awesome and is a beast in updating that I'm even in awe so applaud them for setting such a high bar of quality in updating.

Once again, I'm DH, player of Mr. H and Elec Man and currently on trial for a helper mod! Its getting very Ace Attorney in the discussions, let me tell you that.
